The Romans already made the typical red terracotta tiles. The name terracotta means in Latin ?baked earth?. The tiles are always square (15\15 cm or 17\17 cm) and were throughout the times used in the kitchens of mansions, but also of castles and farmer houses. By now Hestia has a vast stock of these tiles, cleaned and restored in the original state. The terracotta floor already proves for ages its durability. Its characteristic appearance is a very attractive part within every interior.
